West Bengal Joy Bangla Pension Yojana
The state’s Chief minister Smt. Mamata Banerjee has announced a new Scheme Named Joy Bangla, which will help all the people residing in West Bengal, who belong to Below Poverty Level (BPL) Category. This Article contains all the important information about the Joy Bangla Scheme, such as Important Dates and Eligibility Criteria to apply for the scheme.
The West Bengal Joy Bangla Pension Scheme has been launched in two phases to benefit the socially backward categories of society, specifically the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. The first phase is the Taposili Bondhu Pension Scheme for the Scheduled Caste category, and the second phase is the Jai Johar scheme for the Scheduled Tribe category. These initiatives aim to provide financial help and support to different castes and categories.
Joy Bangla Pension Scheme Benefits:
Mr. Amit Mitra, The finance minister of West Bengal, Stated that there are many benefits of these two schemes that can be provided to the people of West Bengal. It is also stated that these two schemes will be launched under The “Joy Bangla” Pension scheme. Both of the schemes has different type of incentives available respectively.
Here are the The Incentives Under Joy Bangla Scheme:

In
Jai Johar Scheme, 1000 Rs. Will be provided to the Beneficiaries.
· In Taposili Bondhu Scheme, 600 Rs. Will be provided to the Beneficiaries.
Joy Bangla Pension Scheme Features:

Approximately 21 Lac people of the state will get
benefit of the scheme.
·
West Bengal Government is going to launch separate
portal for the scheme soon.
·
All the beneficiaries under the scheme will get
benefits directly to their bank account.
·
Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe Candidates who is
Old aged or Widow or PwD can also apply for these Schemes.

Procedure
of application for West Bengal Joy Bangla Pension Scheme:
To apply for
the Joy Bangla Pension yojana you need to follow the application procedure
given below.
1.
ClickHere to go to the official website.
2.
In
the homepage, Click on the option West Bengal Bangla pension scheme
registration.
3. Now, The application form will be Opened.
4.
This
form can also be acquired from your nearby Govt. Office or Bangla Sahayata
Kendras.
5.
Now,
you have to fill up the application form with all the required information like
Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Age, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Caste, etc.
6.
After
filling up the form, attach the documents as listed.
7.
You have to submit your filled application form to
the following offices according to your area-
·
The Block Development Officer if the applicant resides
in rural areas.
·
The Sub Divisional Officer if the applicant is
residing in Municipal areas.
·
Commissioner of Kolkata Municipal Corporation in
case the applicant resides in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation area.
Additional Information
- When the application gets sanctioned, The pension amount will be credited directly to their Bank account within the first week of every month.
- Applicant can add a nominee to this scheme.
